This section explains the prerequisites to use BlockPeer Trade APIs and initiate authentication and approval flows
Prerequisites
Before calling any authentication or eBL / ETR APIs, you must have:
1️⃣ API credentials
- BlockPeer Trade APIs are access-controlled
- API credentials are issued per Integrating System

These credentials identify your Integrating System when calling BlockPeer APIs.
2️⃣ An Integrating System
BlockPeer APIs are designed to be consumed by an Integrating System, such as:
- Bank trade finance platforms
- Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- ERP systems
- Commodity trading platforms
- Shipping and logistics systems
End Users do not call BlockPeer APIs directly.
3️⃣ End Users (Authorized Signers)
End Users are individuals within your organization who:
- Approve eBL / ETR issuance and management actions
- Sign approvals using passkeys
- Retain legal control over electronic trade documents
